My friend and I asked for osusume (their recommendation) at 4000¥/person. We had a variety of different fish and shells, including aji, arc shell, scallops, octopus, and two types of eels. The cuts were very clean and thick. Their steamed egg and tea was also delicious. The sushi chef gave us a generous amount of otoro(!!) when we asked to end our meal with toro; then he gave us another slice. We were so touched; we tried to pay more, but they wouldn’t accept. On a business trip from Kyoto, I sneaked into a sushi restaurant that was rumored to be delicious😎 According to the general, he was originally a hanita-san in Gion, and was introduced by an acquaintance to become independent in Fukuchiyama (more than 40 years ago). From the soup stock to the sashimi to the sushi, the taste is impeccable! ! The a la carte dishes were also gorgeous and tasted elegant 🥰 Regular customers at both the counter and the tatami room were happily chatting with the owner and his wife🤗 I was full from the delicious sushi and was surprised by the payment. (It's really cool!?) I usually eat sushi in Gion, so I was surprised at the low price and high quality. I think it's a counter-based shop with a homey feel and a low barrier to entry. Reservations are required for the tatami room. If there was a restaurant like Higashi Sushi in Gion, I would go there every time with my companion...😭 I will definitely visit you when I go on a business trip to Fukuchiyama! !
