I had a katsudon set meal (970 yen) at a long-established soba restaurant. The katsu is freshly fried, and when you take the first bite, it has a crunchy texture and the savory flavor of the fat spreads throughout your mouth. The meat itself is thin, but the flavor is good enough. The soup is not too sweet, just like a soba restaurant's katsudon. And the set soba is not a mini size but a single serving. Kansai-style soft noodles and a light soup with a strong dashi stock provide a stable deliciousness. There are various ingredients, and it's too good to be able to get this for an additional 30 yen (because the single katsudon is 940 yen). The inside of the restaurant has the feel of an old-fashioned soba restaurant with a slightly retro atmosphere. The music playing in the store is nostalgic songs from the 1970s such as Iruka, Candies, and Momoe Yamaguchi. However, the clerk is young. The soba was also quite tasty, and the sauce on the zaru soba was very delicious. The warm soba soup stock is like a slightly sweet Kansai-style soup stock.
