Hidden gem that not a lot of ppl notice. Hearty comfort food. It was good enough for us to be return next day to have more! Will definitely be back again in the future!

It was empty because the hoardes of tourists were probably looking for seafood or not good with offal. This was delicious and on point. Soft juicy tripe and tendons, I got the one with the onsen egg.

An under appreciated gem in Nishiki Market that serves a mean motsuni. It is heartening to see that the shop is frequented by the locals and that the reviews are mainly Japanese as these are signs of a right place. While other shops in the area serve pretty generic food or even gimmicks, the food here is unapologetically good. The innards are well braised and the gravy has a deep meaty flavour. Each piece, be it tripe or intestine, holds a slightly different flavour and provides a variety of textures. The spring onions provide a herby freshness and the rice adds body. Really superb stuff!
