Although it's just a short walk from National Route 9, the atmosphere is like being in the mountains. It's in a very quiet area. There is a beautiful garden of Tenkyo-in Temple a little in front, so I think it would be a good place to take some time before meals or take a walk after meals. Of course, bamboo shoots are delicious and can be enjoyed in a variety of shapes, tastes, and textures.

This is my first time making bamboo shoots. All of the dishes had sophisticated tastes and the atmosphere in the room was good and we had a great time. I would like to go again if I have the money and time. The plum flavor that came with the appetizer was especially delicious with just the right amount of sourness. Also, although it was not a course meal, the fried shrimp was very delicious.

I ordered the April and May limited lunch bamboo shoots set for 5500 yen and green bamboo yudofu for 3000 yen. I made a reservation in advance. Yudofu is made by plucking green bamboo from the garden, adding natural water, and boiling it with gas. It was fluffy and had a texture like chawanmushi. It is served with a soy sauce soup containing tororo kelp and green onions, and it is delicious. Since the juice comes out from the bamboo cross-cut, I had bamboo soup with a sake cup. The transparent bamboo juice is highly nutritious and has a rare scent of bamboo. Bamboo shoots gozen is all bamboo shoots. It is a soft and mellow product that is harvested in Nishiraku, which is said to be the child of white bamboo. The amount and taste of the items served at Takekotei were all perfect, and I was very satisfied because I was passed through a Japanese-style room with a glass wall of 12 tatami or more that was designed to overlook the garden. By all means, please try to liven up Kyoto in spring with bamboo shoots.
