Miyazu, Kyoto, Japan｜海鮮工房 橋立物產 松葉蟹直賣

One of the best experience I have had in Japan during this trip. Got the crab (1500 yen) and mackerel bento (1000 yen). The rice for both dishes were sweet sticky and chewy. Never had rice in this texture before. Mackerel tasted fresh and chewy coupled with mint (shiso?) Leaves ? If I had the appetite, would have ordered another mackerel dish. Owner was nice enough to let me eat in

Loved the oyster! Fresh and juicy. Only 800 yen. Seafood don (1500 yen) is delicious too! We got six kinds of seafood in the bowl. There are also rice with minced crab / crab legs on the menu. Located right across the train station. The first floor of the shop does not look fancy and more like a fish market (they do sell fish and crab). But no worry it’s very clean. Quick service even though there’s only 1 staff when we were there.

The crab sushi rice (¥1500) is delicious. The crab was really fresh and the crab-to-rice ratio was perfect.
