There are 4 types of set meals including trout sashimi, salt-grilled, tempura, and fried chicken for 2,800 yen. A perfect menu for fathers who put off fishing and have a big appetite. There are some cheaper set meals without tempura, but the side dishes, especially vegetable tempura and Japanese pepper, are surprisingly delicious, perhaps because they have the natural taste of Mt. Kongo. Tastes like vegetarian cuisine. It's a fish with a lot of thin bones, so it's common to catch a lot of small ones yourself, have them fried, and eat them with the bones. Personally, I like to catch just one big one and have it cooked. It was empty when I got there on a Saturday afternoon. The time zone when the anglers return and can't catch. When I go to the fishing spot, I buy all the fish I catch, and I'm in a state of eating. Divided by size, we went to the huge trout section. There are many working old men who teach us how to fish and take care of our fish so they don't get hurt. Even if you are not good at fishing, it will take less than 3 minutes. A big one costs around 5,000 yen, but a 30 cm rainbow trout costs around 3,000 yen. I had so much fun that I caught three fish. I was lucky because I had cash (laughs). When I thought I had never eaten trout, I found out that the salmon trout sold at the supermarket was trout! The fish you thought was salmon turned out to be trout? It seems that there is no obligation to display. If you can buy one salmon for 3,000 yen, it's a good deal. It is said that they are brought from Gifu Prefecture, not raised in the aquaculture there. Salt-grilled salmon is the best! The road on Mt. Kongo is narrow and steep, so it is good to have motion sickness prevention. It's a pity that there is no place to swim in the river, but the air is clean and cool in summer. This is a highly recommended outing spot where you can climb Mt. Kongo, watch the sunrise, catch a quick fish, and have a quick bite to eat!
