It was delicious even down to the fat, and of course I enjoyed everything besides the main dish. Since I was driving, I couldn't drink alcohol, but my friends seemed to be enjoying wine as well. I also had grape juice and non-alcoholic wine. Also, it seems that there are trial sessions held about once a month during the hunting season, so I applied for the December session. A car is required and you have to pass through a narrow mountain road, but it's still worth the trip. The chef himself is a hunter, and his food is made from scratch. The first salad of the day had a dressing made with yacon. This is my first time eating yacon, but even though it is a member of the potato family, it has a refreshing taste, and the dressing is delicious. At the front of the plate is a venison patty, which has the flavor of meat but no odor. I had the impression that gibier has some quirks, but I guess it's handled properly. The second dish was pasta. The noodles are homemade by the chef and go well with the slightly spicy tomato sauce. All the pasta sauces were delicious with focaccia. The main dish was roasted venison. With just the right amount of seasoning, you can enjoy the flavor of the red meat just by eating it as is, but it's even more delicious when you dip it in the balsamic vinegar sauce sprinkled on the side of the plate. Judging from the texture of the dessert ice cream, it's probably homemade, as it's not too sweet and goes well with the fruit. After the meal, I had coffee and was satisfied. The price must have been set incorrectly as it wouldn't cost 4,000 yen per person...it's too cheap. It seems like you can stay overnight there, and they're currently working on making wine, so I'd like to stay there by the time they produce wine.
