Osaka, Japan｜Yakiniku Dondon America-mura

Tried Gyu-Kaku in America and promised myself that I have to try authentic Japanese Yakiniku, so here we are👌🏼! In terms of tables, they don't have individual tables, rather, they're bar counter seats. The place was crowded but it was tidy and clean. The food: Beef Tongue w/ Scallions (10/10): I could never get enough of these! Smelled great and the mild seasonings were perfect🤤. They weren't thick slices, so not too chewy! Wagyu Sliced and Sirloin steak (10/10): Really juicy and the meat was just mouth-watering good to the last bite. It even had an after taste. There's a reason why they cost a little more than the other meat on the menu. Japanese Rice (10/10): I believe they served us Japanese rice when we asked for white rice, and they tasted like high quality sushi rice. It was so good, I asked for a second bowl! Fun fact: Last but not least, the restaurant is small, so it gets crowded easily and because this is a BBQ place, the smoke was overwhelming. Nevertheless, I didn't care because of how finger licking good the food was! Totally recommended! 👍🏼

Great things will come to those who wait, And it was definitely worth the 45 minute wait! Once seated our orders were taken within 5 minutes, and the dishes within 10 mins. The meat was so fresh, flavoursome and tender. The chef was apologetic for the wait time and was so friendly and cheerful inside. One of my favourite restaurants I’ve tried whilst travelling in Japan, I’m looking forward to going to the Tokyo one! Definitely a MUST!

Dondon, Atmosphere is quaint and lovely. You meet fun people elbow to elbow. A superb place to mingle. We ordered wagyu , pork slices, all kinds of sides. The portable grill had briquettes inside. A must see pics. As always, post wherever you feel the need to feed.
