More Comments at Google MapIt’s on the second floor! 😃 We didn’t know and tried to order udon at a bar on the first floor. 😅 However, udon was delicious, not too heavy. It’s a super small place, with only 8 seats by the counter. Be prepared to wait a bit.
***Entrance is next to "Pitari". Take the stairs immediately to your left up to the 2nd floor. Go down the corridor, then turn left & the spot is at the end of the hall*** Just had the BEST udon in my life & I was so close to missing out just because I got lost. To be honest the path getting here can be a bit sketchy, as you need to go up a dirty flight of stairs & past a corridor full of grafitti. But all that trauma is well worth it once you taste this udon. We got the spicy kasu & fried tofu udon. Both of which we recommend. Be sure to add an egg for extra richness! The broth was balanced with lots of umami. The noodles had great texture with a slight chew & absorbed the broth well. Please do yourself a favor & try this spot out, especially if you love udon. Thank you to all the fellow reviewers who pointed out this hidden gem!
The absolute best udon noodles I've ever had both in and out of Japan. The chefs passion for his product is unbelievable. He's spent 17 years perfecting this one dish. If you're ever in Osaka, you have to try this place. It's on the second floor of the Mittera Kaikan building. Whether it's before or after you've visited the other bars in the building a visit isn't complete without dinner here. I highly recommend the Spicy Beef Kasu Udon, and make sure you ask for an egg on top :) Seriously, one of the best things you'll eat in all of Japan.
