Osaka, Japan｜New Babe(ニューベイブ)

I would give 5 but I am giving 4 because this is the only tonkatsu I tried in Japan. It was truly the best to tonkatsu I’ve ever had. I think all the tonkatsu i had in the US were fake. The meat was thick but tender and juicy. I was also impressed by the pickled black pepper. How did the owner think of it? So tasty and creative. Interesting but also super delicious. Miso and wasabi? Seasonings were also great. my fav was the classic tonkatsu sauce. Not sure if anybody would use olive oil in my opinion…. But I loved how the dish came with different seasonings. Super fun. I would come back here. Waiting isnt too bad if you come before noon! Edit: Man, it’s impossible to find a tonkatsu place like this in America. I can’t stop comparing! I came back to change it to 5. :)
