A long-established tonkatsu restaurant that has been in business for 27 years, located about a 2-minute walk from Abiko Station. I stopped by during the day on a weekday, and was thankful that it opened at 11:00. The exterior has a cool atmosphere, but the interior is surprisingly spacious. It is run by the owner, who has a very artisanal feel, and several female staff members who appear to be relatives. The owner has the air of a craftsman, but when you talk to him, his soft demeanor leaves a good impression. I ordered double pork cutlet (loin) for 1700 Yen. I heard that the pork is from Yamagata. The meat is tender and the loin has plenty of flavor and is very delicious. It's delicious whether you eat it with salt or sauce. With this content, 1700 Yen is very satisfying, and the daily set meal is an exceptional value of 1000 Yen. There are very few restaurants that offer this level of tonkatsu at this price.
