Osaka, Japan｜Okonomiyaki Mizuno

Waited about half an hour at around midday on a Friday. Orders are placed while in line and we’re told explicitly that no additional orders weee possible once the order is placed. Seated upstairs - take care up and down the little steep steps! Food is cooked in front of you on the table. The chef seemed to speak minimal or basic English but was friendly enough to try and explain every dish with a big smile. Food was amazing. Went for the seafood sets. Great flavours and would love to go ahead if the lines weren’t so big.

No Michelin stars here, just Bib Gourmand, which is already damn good. Everything was great in Okonomiyaki Mizuno, my okonomiyaki was perfectly cooked and tasted awesome. The price was fair and the lines moved fast, so nothing to complain about. Credit cards are accepted. They have menu in Korean, Chinese and English.

This Michelin bib gourmand establishment has a simple but tasty okonomiyaki made from Japanese potatoes versus using flour. The toppings were fresh and had an amazing char from the flattop grill. Service was fast but seeing the chefs making it in front of you is such a treat so you can see your food being cooked in living color. Also, try their local ginger drink to help with digestion and cleansing your palette between bites.
