More Comments at Google MapI learned about this place from a YouTube video because it’s quite far from tourist central, and it’s definitely worth the walk. Situated under the raised JR railway, this cozy shop features counter only seating for about 10 people. They sell takoyaki up front, and offer the variations on Okonomiyaki you’d expect in Osaka. It’s cash only and they have an english menu. Their Okonomiyaki is legend. The batter is super light and fluffy, which I think separates good from best. I got it with pork and the umami flavour gets throughout the pancake; better than something like squid. I found their Yakitori to be a bit too sweet, but I asked the chef if I could use their five spice and loaded the noodles up with spicy powder. Much more delicious after that. Anyways, come here for top tier Okonomiyaki. It’s not too far from the tourist trap, but it’s definitely in the more local side of town.
Cozy little shop run by a family. Tried 4 different Okonomiyakis and the Takoyaki as well. Blown away by how good everything tasted. If you are in the area, do drop by for some authentic Osaka cuisine! Edit: This is the shop that Mike Chen visited when he was in Osaka. Crazy coincidence.
Local restaurant. The best okonomiyaki I tried. If you like cheese, go for the cheese and pork okonomiyaki.
