We found this okonomiyaki restaurant on a whim and when we found out it had good reviews, separate booths, and an English menu? Our heart was set on it, even if it was 30 minutes away by train and trek. The restaurant was located in a long shopping strip, be careful not to miss it, look for the signs above. The interior is narrow, good for small groups and couples, and single foodies. The booths are equipped with a hot griddle, sauces and condiments, menus and instructions, and the occasional spicy magazine under the table. For non Japanese visitors, there is a English menu and the waiter/cook/server will guide you through the whole process. We ordered mixed okonomiyaki and pork negiyaki for the two of us and it was an experience to eat. Fresh and filling, the two pancakes were enough to tide us over, with just enough room for dessert later. If the owner of this restaurant reads this, thank you! Your food and service was amazing.

Went to this Okonomiyaki restaurant after asking recommendation from a bar nearby and it was really good ! The negiyaki with the lemon was an insane great twist ! The classic Okonomiyaki was also very good ! There is a menu in english and the staff will help you as much as possible. Special shout out to the taiwanese waiter who was very patient and helpful ! Great food and place ! Highly recommended !

English menu available! We came during the evening when it appeared as though we were the only customers. It was quiet and peaceful, and I really liked that after such a busy day. The owner/manager led us to a booth and gave us some time to consider what we’d like to order. We settled with the pork negiyaki and the mixed okonomiyaki. I’m glad we forced down the temptation to order more as both entrees came in generous portions! I was a bit nervous that we would be left to cook our own okonomiyaki on the griddle in front of us (as we had never done so before), but there are signs on the wall with pictures that guide you through the process. In any case, my fears were unfounded as the owner arrived with bowls upon bowls of fresh ingredients and batter, and started cooking our dishes like a pro. He would leave for short instances while we all waited for one side to cook, and then would come back to flip whenever they were ready. In those free moments, I took a while to look at the walls of the restaurant, filled to the brim with photos and letters from celebrities who came by and ate okonomiyaki at this very spot. Consider me impressed! There were also naughty magazines and comics under the table, perfect for whenever one is waiting for their hot food to cool down. ;D Before serving our okonomiyaki, the owner asked us which of the sauces on the wall we preferred (sweet or spicy!) and if we wanted extra mayo (yes, please!), which was really nice. Did I mention that whenever I finished my glass of water and set the glass on the table with the ice clinking, the owner came back at that moment to refill it??? That was ridiculously amazing. It was so quiet that evening, that he probably heard. Or maybe he’s just always that attentive. Taste was great, portions were hefty, and the customer service excellent. I’m glad we came on a quiet night when we could have a cozy place like that to ourselves.
