A great place to try some Fugu (Puffer fish or Blowfish) 🐡. One can see live fishes in the aquarium. I got the Fugu Sashimi which was good. I definitely recommend this place.

In the morning, they have a small stall outside selling small fugu sampling if you're interested, we bought the fugu miso soup ¥800, very delicious, meat tasted like a cross between frog and chicken meat, slightly chewy but not much flavour from the meat itself. In the evening, we came back to try their fine dining fugu hotpot, one serving for ¥5500, absolutely delicious, unexpectedly nice ambient in the inside, the set comes with starter jelly and fugu skin, follow by sashimi and fried fugu, hotpot fugu and end with the waitress cooking porridge with the remaining soup from the hotpot. One of the senior lady who is now a resident of Japan but originally from Taiwan is very helpful and pleasant to talk with, she is fluent in English and Mandarin, she would patiently explain the menu and procedure on how to enjoy the meal properly, we truly had a wonderful evening, would recommend this place!

When in Japan try the fugu. Me and some friends ate the six course special here. Each dish was fugu prepared in a different way. It's an amazing way to learn the intricacies of an ingredient and would recommend it to anyone. I wasn't as impressed with the shashimi as I thought and my favorite dish was the don - egg, soup stock, and rice with pieces of fugu roasted in the stock for a long time beforehand. It gave it an amazing depth of flavor. Next time I come here I'll probably skip straight to the don and then go eat some of the other amazing food nearby.
