If you go straight through the Shotendori shopping street from Fukushima Station, you will see a yellow-green tent on your left. That is Mizuho Shokudo. I don't think the appearance of the store has changed at all since the Showa era. It feels so Showa-era. Inside the store, you can hear the cheerful voice of a female clerk as she picks up her favorite side dish from the showcase, and when it comes time to pay, the change comes out of the clerk's apron pocket. As someone who was born in the Showa era, I was kind of happy. I ordered a meat bowl, tamagoyaki, and miso soup. The meat bowl has quite a bit of soup in it, which makes for a nice soup stock. The slightly strong seasoning is perfect for midsummer workers. There's so much miso soup that you won't believe it's only 80 yen. Ah, I'd like to go again, but unfortunately it's closed on Saturdays and Sundays. I definitely want to go there again if I pass by on a weekday afternoon.

An old-fashioned set restaurant that can be entered from both the north side (shopping street side) and the south side. This time I had a bowl of rice with other people, and the deliciousness of the soup stock is so delicious that it is addictive. I would love to have other menus as well. The fact that they are open from early in the morning also makes me sad.
