Osaka, Japan｜Yakitori no meimon Akiyoshi Shinsaibashiminami

This is my jam. Small, good mix of local people eating here, fast and attentive service. Lots of small items and cheap prices so it's a good chance to try a large variety of foods. I personally liked sitting at the counter because the kitchen is open. You see how hard all the staff is working and the food is served hot. Everything is made to order.

Wonderfully cooked yakitori. Make sure you also get grilled rice balls and have some draft beer! Menu had pictures and was tourist friendly, we ordered with pointing and waitress was really helpful.

There's simply nothing I can say to let you know how amazing this shop is. I have been in Osaka 4 days, and spent the last 2 at this shop. Because it is that good. In terms of price and service, there have been none other in Dotonbori and Namba to perform as good as this had. The waitresses and chefs have taken and assisted us with such patience and delight that makes the whole experience a whole lot better. If you come here as a group, please understand that seating is limited and it can be difficult to accommodate a group larger than 2. Everything on the menu is nice, and I can assure it because I ate everything on the menu. That's how good it is. I highly recommend the agedashi tofu for people new to Japanese cuisine and for those new to yakitori or kusiyaki, try the chicken skewers or chicken skin skewers. They're all amazing. Wash it down with a peach chu-hai or a draft beer and the experience is well worth it. Total bill for a full meal, was 4000 to 5000 yen for 2 people I including 4 drinks. So around 2500 to 3000 without drinks. The only con is that one day I hope they have bonjiri. Please. I need it.
