Osaka, Japan｜風味鶏

Super lively place; you know its a local where "everybody knew each others' names". Very jovial owner. Small, cozy walk-up. Other patrons made us feel so very welcomed there. (It helped tremendously that one of the patrons spoke a good amount of English! :) ) An izakaya-turned-impromptu acoustic guitar sing-along, with patrons' friends still arriving well into the night! Now my go-to in Osaka! Very reasonably-priced, delicious food (skewers with Chicken the specialty there!) from a limited but quality offering! Super fun evening and didn't want to leave!

One of the best dinner experiences we’ve had in Japan, thanks to the wonderful owner and local regulars at the bar! Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, to assist us in ordering, grabbing drinks and our food, sharing recommendations and even their orders! The owner even showed us a fun magic trick. Food came quickly and was delicious. Absolutely recommended for anyone in the area!

The best izakaya I have been in Japan. Not only the food is really tasty but the owner is a great guy and the regulars at this place are all so friendly. We loved the experience and if we go back to Osaka we will repeat again for sure!
