Osaka, Japan｜Yakitori-shubo Maido

This was a lovely find! We went on a Saturday night, and we had no trouble finding seats for two. It’s within walking distance of Harukas 300, which we were going to. You sit right next to the chefs, who made efforts to communicate in English, which we greatly appreciated. The waiting staff were also very kind, and they were very attentive. Service: 11/10. The food: The chef recommended a yakitori set, which we got and enjoyed. Everything was flavorful, and the chicken was very moist. We also added an order of enoki. It came out to 4460 yen for 10 skewers, two chicken drumsticks, and two enoki plates.

My favorite izakaya in Osaka. The place and atmosphere will offer you an unique experience of typical japanese izakaya. The skewers are tasty and perfectly cooked. You might have difficulties to order if you don’t speak /read Japanese but owners are very warm and kind people.

Despite having no English menu and my limited Japanese I was able to enjoy the best yakitori and chicken sashimi. Definitely worth a stop if you know what you want.
