More Comments at Google MapHad a very enjoyable dinner here for my first time trying motsunabe! The chef owner from hakata and the Indonesian waiter speak some English and were very warm and hospitable. The chef does hakata-style miso broth which was very delicious
Great place to eat dinner, i can wholeheartedly say that this was the best hotpot i’ve had in japan. Super friendly staff & owner, both speaking english fairly well. The hotpot itself only cost ~1000yen which i think is super cheap considering what you get - i did compliment it with some great drinks though. For any tourists in the area, if this place is open, spend your evening here and you won’t regret it.
Came here for motsunabe. This is one of those hole in the wall places that youd be lucky to stumble upon. Our party had limited japanese skills but both the owner and waiter were both gracious, patient, understanding, and kind. The owner especially had a very nice personality and was very likeable. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We got both the shoyu broth and the house special miso broth. Both were so delicious that we got a serving of soba noodles after to enjoy the broth longer. The pot includes beef intestine(nice and chewy), cabbage, beansprouts, tofu(super soft tofu!), chives and a generous helping of sesame seeds. A small pot of yuzu pepper was also included, which was pretty spicy. We also got a serving of the wagyu beef, it was pricey for the amount given but definitely worth it. The beef was beautifully marbled and melted in our mouths. P.s Our party also wanted to try sake but didnt know what we wanted, the owner served us a cold sake that he thought we would like. It was very smooth and we did quite enjoy it. I forget the name but it had sakura motifs and came cold.
