Tajiri, Osaka, Japan｜Nishikawa

I came on a quiet Monday night about an hour before closing and was the only customer in the restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and kind, despite the language barrier. We had a small conversation using Google translate, and I really appreciated their willingness to chat with me. Oh yeah, and the food is EXCELLENT. Their nigiri is quite large, but super fresh and delicious. And the miso soup was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the ¥2000 nigiri set and a cold sake. I only had one night in Rinko Town but I would happily go back if I stayed longer. Thank you!!

We went there in Jan 2020. Feel like eating in some famous chef home kitchen. Everything is fresh and artfully prepared. We went in the winter time, it was toasty and warm just like the services. It’s cozy, the fishing boat with the dock on the pier and the fishermen walk straight here to have lunch. Not expensive, very big portion serves. For us, it is a heart of Japanese hospitality. It was the best seafood we had in Japan. ♥️♥️🐠🐟

I only had a short overlap before LAX, but I'm so glad I left the airport and found this place. The fish is so fresh because the place is right next to a fish market and a whole area where people are fishing under the bridge. They bring their fresh catch to all of the restaurants lined up in this area. Such amazing food
