Friendly staff and fantastic food. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this restaurant when staying for just one night in Kishiwada. We wanted sushi for the last night of our holiday in Japan and we noticed a sign in the window advertising the fact that they offered a menu in English. It is obviously a very popular restaurant as it was very busy when we arrived, but after a short wait, we were given a table. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious! The sushi was very fresh and well presented. We had a lovely chat with one of the chefs and we left the restaurant feeling very happy with our final meal in Japan. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

Wow, what an amazing find!!! I don't write reviews but this needed to be said. Came here with my GF while staying in Osaka for the last part of our trip to Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, Koyasan). We are sushi fanatics. And this, Sweet baby Jesus, was hands-down the best sushi we had all trip!! It blew us away with flavor and freshness, and nice chunky pieces of nigiri. Location: An easy walk from the train station. Just use your google map. After looking for some sushi my searches brought me here, in a tiny little alleyway offshoot from a long covered market hall of stores. The Experience: Right away you are greeted by a lovely hostess (whom speaks very good English). We sat at the bar and we're greeted by the super talented master chef "Kats" (after getting his name wrong and several attempts later, he gave me the short version; forgive me chef). Next, we were greeted by the super friendly and very kind apprentice chef Takka. He wrote the whole menu in English in hopes of encountering English speakers. We were the first Americans apparently which goes to show how amazingly local this place is. Chef Takka took great care of us with amazing attention, and the whole staff made us feel like we were regulars. The Food: Just... Wow. We were speechless for most of the meal. With grunts and blissful smiles with our eyes closed. Incredible! We had a fixed house combination plate of nigiri to start. After trying a few of their select pieces we went "H.A.M." on some of our favorites. One after another blew us away! The Uni is incredible, the scallop is prepared with a slight sear on top, the salmon is soooo fresh and delicious, the anago is an out of body experience, while the ikura (salmon roe) is briny yet subtly sweet on the palate. The depth of flavors we tasted from these beautifully cut pieces of fresh fish was incomparable to anything we had in the US. We also tried the beautifully prepared flaky tempura. So delicate and delicious! Chef Kats's knife skills is impressive to say the least. Overall, we want to fly out of Osaka again just for this amazing experience with master chef Kats and chef Takka. Well done gents. Thank you the closing cherry on top to an amazing trip to Japan. We will never forget you.

A lovely place for our last meal in Japan. Great food and wonderful friendly staff. We recommend the house specialty Japanese steak!
