Osaka, Japan｜Tarobo Sushi

Nice neighborhood sushi place! We took a chance here - we don't speak Japanese, but the restaurant helpfully pulled out an English language menu. Local patrons are friendly and the sushi chefs are related -- it's a family-owned restaurant with lots of care poured into the food. Price was very affordable, and I'm not a big sushi person, but the food here was simply amazing -- just really tasty. Perhaps neighborhood sushi restaurants are a dime a dozen in Japan, but I really liked the night we had here, it was memorable. My family loved it, my son gave it a 10/10.

We had the BEST time here. It seems intimidating from the outside - entirely Japanese menu, only locals inside. But they were welcoming from the outset, the younger chef helped with a little English and produced an English menu. The sushi chef was masterful and made the best sushi I’ve had here so far. Menu pictures are attached. It was a lovely evening and I highly recommend this place to others.

Lovely place and delicious food. The chef is a professional and they are very welcoming of Londoners like me. The sushi is very fresh and well worth the price.
