I was travelling alone and staying nearby while on a week-long visit to Osaka. After a random stroll and Google search, I found this spot at a few meters distance and decided to give it a try. I’m so happy I did! It was a true gem and great experience. Despite my lack of Japanese speaking abilities and the staff’s minimal English, we somehow managed to understand each other with gestures and smiles. I sat alone at the bar, and the server was incredible kind and attentive. They went out of their way to serve me a meal that I didn’t know was only available during lunch. Then they generously poured me a sampling of different sakes and umeshus to taste whilst dining — on the house! I was so sad that I only got to dine there once, but if I’m ever back in Osaka, rest assured that I’d find my way back. Great service, food, beverages, and price!
