However, this restaurant is at another level. There are 6 seats at the bar. The chef grills it in front of you with Bincho-tan, a specific type of charcoal traditional use in Japanese cooking. Food: Crispy on the outside. It feels like the oil and meat are melting in your mouth after a few bites. It's a perfect match with their sauce and rice. They do have an English menu. They understand English. If not Google translate is your best friend. As a Hong Konger, I love eating wild Japanese food. Eel rice is not a popular dish in Hong Kong, but this one is really special. There are 6 bar counters for eating noodles. The chef grills fresh eel in front of you with Binchotan charcoal for you to eat. The fat of the eel meat is well distributed, and it has a charcoal flavor when you eat it. The noodles are crispy and melt in your mouth. It is perfect when paired with eel juice. They have an English menu. The waiters understand and speak a little bit of English, so they can use Google Translate if they want to go to the restaurant.
Incredible food in a quiet alley, cosy venue with a view on the chef preparing the food. Very unique way to taste eel: with only rice, or with spices or with broth! You can basically customise the dish to your taste! Better to book in advance!
Absolutely stunning. Try the most expensive menu, they will cook fresh unagi, it's worth it!
