It is a popular lunch spot for locals working nearby. The shop was run by an old couple who work in the kitchen together. I had special grilled eel with rice, pickled vegetables and soup. The eel was so fresh and soft, melted in mouth, the sauce was not too heavy which I liked. It seems they put up the price for their menu from 6 months back, but understandable since the inflation is high everywhere.

I looked at the reviews from people I follow and it looked like a delicious restaurant, so I couldn't resist going there. The restaurant is run by an elderly couple. The shop is not very clean and the person is not very friendly. That also creates a nice atmosphere. Is it because you are old? I don't think they care too much about the appearance of the store. But all I can say is that the eel at this restaurant is delicious. I'm from Kansai, so this was my first time eating Edo-yaki eel. Although the outside was not crispy, it was well browned and the inside was fluffy and delicious. There are also about 4 types of delicious pickles, and they are drizzled with a little soy sauce, giving them a nice salty taste that makes you want to eat them with white rice or ochazuke. Until a few months ago, the special eel and chrysanthemum came with liver soup (2,850 yen including tax). Currently (3500 yen including tax). Still cheap! They don't seem to care much about making money. As I was leaving, the old shop owner thanked me and said to me, ``Thank you for the meal.'' I hope it continues for a long time because elderly couples are being affected.
