Simple and tasty. The master was making udon in front of us at the store, which told us the udon is freshly made. Days with 7, 8, and 9 are closed so be careful.

The noodles are freshly made and all the vegetables and meat used are delicious. The place is a small and quiet shop a little outside the normal area of Shiga. The only downside is the hours because they are open only during lunch.

Arrived about 5 minutes before opening on Sunday. There were already 3 groups of people waiting in line. I had a hard time choosing Seseri Udon, which is a popular menu item at the restaurant, but I'm sure you won't be able to get it anywhere else! So I decided to order the olive udon from the monthly menu for September. I asked the staff if they recommended hot or cold, but they said it was a matter of personal preference, so I went with the hot one. Topped with olive oil, olive fruit, and chopped seaweed, and sprinkled with salt and soy sauce. It was very delicious and went perfectly with the chewy udon noodles. I'm a big eater, but I was pretty full with the udon noodles and the proprietress set (rice ball, small bowl, and my favorite tempura). I also had the soft-boiled egg tempura as a standalone item, which is good to eat as is or with udon noodles! While we were eating, customers were coming in one after another, and it seemed like some menu items such as tempura would soon be out of stock, so I think it would be best to arrive at the restaurant early. My partner had seseri udon, and the charcoal-grilled seseri was fragrant and delicious.
