Kyotango, Kyoto, Japan｜Mitsubachi 888 Cafe and General Store

This restaurant and café is warm and friendly, and has great food! The food selection is good as well but I always order the fish set when I come (and its different every time!). The fish set is also really filling and only costs around 1200-1300 yen. I have also tried the curry, which is excellent. I also love, love, love, their unique desserts (cakes and tarts). They always use interesting seasonal ingredients I wouldn't think to combine. I also like that the restaurant is two floors with an open floor plan, making the space feel airy. They also have a store on the first floor that has a great variety of well-made products like towels, baby gifts, jewelry, cups, plates, etc. NOTE: The parking lot in front only fits 2-3 cars, but there is an extremely large parking lot in back (next to the bowling alley) that you can use and then walk along a small path to the front of the building.

Pleasant staff, cozy atmosphere, and good food and drinks. Lunch is served from 11-2:30, and they have very good healthy options with fresh ingredients. I especially recommend their curry and smoothies! The general store is a cute place to buy gifts as well.

Food is nice and quality. And I love coffee here also.
