Their menu has pictures so it’s helpful if you don’t know much about Japanese desserts. Everything tasted really good. I highly recommend this place :) There’s a nice seating area upstairs.

They don't let you sit with your couple if you don't order anything. What i am supposed to do? Go away? I had to order a coffee just to sit with my couple who wanted to try a desert here. Edit: this seems to be common rule in Japan, i don't agree with it but i have to accept it

This is limited parfait in winter season. Umesono collaborate with Oguraya Yamamoto which is kombu(sea weed) shop. I tasted Umami super strongly from it. If you are looking for the place to settle down in the downtown Kyoto and also want to eat something traditional, I'll recommend to choose here. They are one of the expertise of Kyoto traditional sweets.
