Perfect spot for tourists. Beautiful view of the historical bridge from the 2nd floor. Good Cappuccino (could be a bit warmer) and yummy cakes. Very friendly people/stuff.

I've been twice and gotten great service each time. The food and coffee is excellent. Probably the 3rd best coffee in Kyoto prefecture after "% Arabica" and Unir. Definitely the best coffee in Uji city. I see lots of complaints about this place by other people, maybe they went when different staff were on shift than when I did. The two times I went it seemed like just the owner and his wife, who were very friendly.

I am gonna do him some justice. First of all, this is not a Japanese style coffee shop with the staff who will think you are a god or goddess. So nothing wrong with his attitude. Second, nice view of Uji River. The most importantly, he is such a baker who serves the best banana cake in the world! Thank you.
