Such a lovely place to take a break. Even as foreigners, the staff were very nice and were very helpful. Ordering is done through a ticketing machine and then you pick a place to sit. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, yes, the pancakes take a while to make (approximately 30 mins), but there’s a literally a sign at checkout that states this. These pancakes are a work of art, so be patient and you’ll be rewarded. Now, if you’re from the west, the pancakes are going to be different from what you’re used to. I ordered the strawberry pancake and it was lighter and less sweet, but delicious. It came with the ripest sliced strawberries I’ve ever had and a dollop of whipped cream that honestly tasted like it was homemade. If you’re looking for a quieter, more local experience, def recommend this cafe.

The best french toast I have ever had - no exaggeration. The edges were sticky and chewy, the middle of the toast soft and moist served with homemade cream and fruit. Delicious. Very traditional Japanese decor on the 2nd floor of a quiet Japanese street not far from Karasuma station. Excellent coffee and service too
