More Comments at Google MapWe tried their 4-hour-long tea exprience programme and it was fantastic 😍 We’ve learnt lot of things about the tea plant, the producing and the making and drinking as well. The staff is adorable, the lunch is delicious and the different tea types are amazing. The whole business is very well managed, congratulations!
Obubu is truly such a special place. If you're visiting the Kyoto/Nara/Osaka area and want to get away from the city for a bit, I can't recommend Obubu's tea tour experience highly enough. Wazuka is a breathtaking village, and the tour takes you to one of Obubu's tea fields high in the mountains with an unforgettably beautiful view. The staff is immensely welcoming and friendly, and also incredibly knowledgable about tea and excited to answer any and all questions. I spent 3 months here as an intern the experience has genuinely changed my life!
This was one of my favorite experiences in Japan. They are really trying to teach people about Japanese tea, and are very English-friendly. They are also some of the nicest people I’ve met! As I walked to the bus they stood outside waving until I was completely out of view. This is a must visit for anyone interested in tea and Japanese culture! My only recommendation is to email them ahead of time to ensure you find the right bus, as google maps isn’t always accurate. Otherwise, please visit them. You will be very happy you did!
