Incredible panoramic views, and tasty dessert drinks. This café is located right next to Goro Sky Tower, and has some amazing views of Maizuru Bay. We had already eaten lunch so we just got a dessert coffee, but it was really good. The lunch menu looked really interesting, most memorably including a burger in the shape of the sky tower, as well as the local Maizuru curry (which is based on a naval recipe). The best part about the café were the views. And the tables are strategically set up so that all the tables have views of the Bay down below. The restaurant did a great job with COVID precautions as well, separating all the tables with clear dividers that don't obstruct your vision in any way. It was very clean inside and the staff were very friendly. Its a bit of a hike to reach this location, and it's probably best done by car. The road leading up to the sky tower is long and windy (and climbs quite a bit uphill, so much so that my ears popped!). But the views are definitely worth it if you are in the area. I don't think there is a better spot in Maizuru that will give you a scope of the entire city (not even the hiking mountains in the area have such good views). And no matter when you come, you are guaranteed to get great pictures. Just a note on the lunch menu, while there are some very interesting options, there is no real option for vegetarians (except maybe the apple pie, which isn't lunch). I don't drink coffee that often, but what I ordered cost 580 yen. It came with a chocolate drizzle, espresso shot, and whipped cream. If you are visiting Maizuru, this location will give you the best views and scope of the whole area, and you can almost make out the crane shape of the land as it wraps around the bay.

Maizuru City, which is thought to have the largest military port in the Sea of Japan, has several restaurants participating in the "Maizuru Maritime Self-Defense Force Curry." Each participating store has received cooking instruction from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and has been certified, so you can enjoy authentic Maritime Self-Defense Force curry. Among them, this is a restaurant where you can eat curry from the DDG175 destroyer "Myoko" (Myoko is one of the four Aegis ships owned by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force). While looking out at the most spectacular view of Maizuru Bay, I was curious enough to choose the curry from the destroyer Myoko. ▪️Cooking/Taste Escort ship Myoko beef curry, 1500 yen including tax, comes with Maizuru's famous meat and potato croquette. According to the pamphlet, the meals on board the Aegis ship "Myoko" are completely reproduced on the ground. The curry is based on a bouillon made by simmering beef loin for hours the day before and draining it many times. This is a masterpiece made by adding onions that have been sautéed until golden brown. At first, I didn't know about this knowledge and when I ate it, my impression was that the umami extract filled my mouth and it was top-notch for a Japanese-style curry. It was a hearty curry worthy of the determination of the Self-Defense Forces, who are willing to fight for their lives. And what's interesting is not just the curry, but the meat and potatoes croquettes, salad, and nata de coco? The wind dessert comes with a pack of milk. Nikujaga croquette is a croquette with lots of fillings, including not only ground meat but also various vegetables. What's even more interesting is that the tableware used is the same as the tableware from the Aegis ship "Myoko." It has the "Myoko" mark on it. ▪️Service/Atmosphere Since it was a weekday afternoon, there weren't many customers, but the scenery alone was enough to make you catch some fish. The scenery including the observation deck includes the intricate coastline unique to the Rias Coast, a huge thermal power plant, self-defense ships such as Japan's largest escort ship "Hyuga" anchored at Japan's largest military port, and urban areas in both the east and west of Maizuru. The scenery itself is rich in variety and is a spectacular view worthy of being ranked as ``the best view in the Kinki region'' (you should also pay 300 yen to go to the tower). Even from the Sky Cafe here, you can fully enjoy the real pleasure of this view. The service man was also very friendly and I had a pleasant meal. I recommend this place.

Cafe next to Goro Sky Tower ^ ^ The menu is elaborate and interesting. Ice fruit processed at minus 40 degrees recommended for hot weather (๑>◡<๑) Even though it's frozen, you can chew it crisply. I really enjoyed the scenery, the atmosphere and the variety of menus ^ ^ Sakuma-san's parfait was also cute (゚∀゚) I was able to use PayPay as well as cash for accounting ✌︎('ω')✌︎
