The best sushi we have eaten in Japan, the chef is super friendly and the raw material is super tasty. Highly recommended the sea urchin sushi, the eel sashimi and their Japanese wine. Simply amazing!!

If you're in Pontocho and craving sushi, look no further. The sushi is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, and the service is top-notch. A fair price for the quality. The atmosphere is also lovely, making for a wonderful dining experience.

If you want an amazing sushi experience I recommend visiting Yoshino Pontocho and sit on the Chef's table. We were spoiled with so many things, we had different types of Sake from different regions in Japan. We tried different Chef's choice Sashimi, different rolls, some appetizers and the service was amazing. (And the Sake kept coming....) We ended up paying a fraction of what such a meal would cost in Tokyo if you want the same quality. Thank you for having us. Thank you for an amazing night and probably the best sushi I've had in Kyoto.
