Kyoto, Japan｜Sushi Iso

Where to begin, This is an exceptionnal sushi restaurant. I was a sushi chef in Montreal for a few years and I am used to eat fresh fish right after cutting it. Here at Sushi Iso, my mind was blown by the quality of the fish. The chefs and staff were also very kind to us. If you stop by Saga-Arashiyama station, you have to come by this place, it's a must!

We had a great experience here. The restaurant's space is very cozy and clean. Because we arrived early, we had the opportunity to sit at the counter and chat with the chef. He was a nice and welcoming person. When he knew this trip was our honeymoon, he gave us a glass of super dry asahi beer and it tasted great. Even though I'm not a beer drinker, I immediately liked the taste. It has a gentle fragrance and no bitter aftertaste. Speaking of food, I absolutely love the sushi here. We ordered the lunch set. The sushi is made from fresh ingredients and is thick. I can feel its sweetness when I eat it. The portion was quite generous so we were quite full after finishing the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had THE BEST sushi ever in our life. My wife fell in love with it. And it’s cheap for the quality.
