Kyoto, Japan｜Isami Sushi

I find this place randomly while travelling in Japan. It’s a tiny place with only one chef and one waiter. But the food is so amazing! All seafoods are super fresh! At least compare to every other seafood restaurant I’ve been to in Japan, here is the most fresh place. Great service and wine. Reasonable price. And Uji matcha ice cream! Love it!

Very small and quite restaurant. Reservation is a must. The food was perfect - one of the best sushi I have tried in Japan. Sake was also very good. We spent 10000 Yen for two people with drinks. I believe the food we ordered would be enought for three :)

Kyoto is not typically known for its sushi restaurants. But this meal made for one of the most outstanding ones in our trip. The sushi and sashimi looked normal but tasted amazing, even better than the Michelin starred ones I’ve tried in Tokyo. The chawanmushi was, I kid you not, the best I’ve had in my life so far. This is one of the best representations of Japanese food - simple but absolutely delicious. My only regret was not going for the more expensive menu. Would definitely be back again when in Kyoto!
