fantastic. the onigiri place next door was closed so we stopped here. ended up being a great choice. there aren’t many eating options in the area adjacent to between the philosophers path coming from higashiyami jisho ji. they have a set menu or chose individual pieces. i’d go for the #2 for 1500 yen. food was excellent and varied. free water. the dining room is small and cozy with a bar. chef/server was amazing. had a little english and was so nice. at the end of the meal he gave us a handmade origami crane. highly recommended for the food, the price and the experience.

Excellent service and delicious japanese food very close to Ginkakuji temple

Very good traditional food, owners were very kind and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!
