More Comments at Google Map5-star food. Japanese-French (Italian?) Fusion Ordered quite a lot of food mainly because there was so much on the menu I wanted to try. They have two menus, their main, and then their seasonal menu. I think they are mainly an izakaya, and their first floor has a charming bar that faces the kitchen. They have a variety of food served skewered (though I didn't order any of these). The second floor is a cozy restaurant space with tables that are socially distanced and separated by clear dividers. The have a cute dumbwaiter that sends the food up to the second floor, and from there separate servers dedicated to the second floor bring your food out. I ordered off of both of the menus. In no specific order I got: fried potato balls with a very good sauce, raison butter with bread, mushroom potage (ordered carrot but they were out), Quiche Lorraine (excellent!), Yasaka Gama bread (local bakery's bread), seasonal salad (excellent! - has meat though), duck soba (outstanding, and my first time having this), half an avocado served hot topped with camembert cheese (interesting). And I also ordered local sake from Yosano (Yosamusume), a canele (French pastry), coffee and ice cream. I didn't eat this all myself, I can't help but mention that as I read over the sheer weight of food that was ordered. I highly recommend the duck soba, quiche lorraine, and seasonal salad. There are things that I would like to try next time as well (like their fish dishes using locally sourced fish). Oh, I heard there is an English menu too but I can't comment on it.
One of the best meals we've had in Japan (and we've had a lot!!) Delicious food and great, friendly service. Definitley check it out if you visit Amanohashidate!!
Gourmet Spanish-Japanese fusion restaurant. Everything was delectable. There is new management now, so some of the previous menu items have unfortunately changed and caused my local friends to be a little disappointed. However, the food was still very delicious and it is still an extremely popular venue that you should probably make s reservation before coming to guarantee your seating.
