This review is written mainly for foreigners and international students who are living at Ritsumeikan University's Biwako Kusatsu Campus, or any other campus in the area. I cannot understate how much I appreciate the staff at Goji-Goji. I've visited twice with varying size groups of students with questionable at best Japanese skills and a tenuous grasp on how to communicate, and our dinners have been *flawless*. The waitstaff were considerate and helped us with the yakiniku grill, which we had never used before. Another major point to consider is for people with food allergies. I had a phrase professionally translated to print on business cards to hand to waitstaff or cooks to let them know that I have a serious peanut allergy. The staff at Goji-Goji carefully read it over, brought it back to the chefs to make sure they were aware, and then came out to reassure me my food would be safe and to make sure my only allergy is to peanuts (which it thankfully is). The food at Goji-Goji is very affordable by American and European standards. Yakiniku portions, usually ~4-8 pieces per order, are only 390 yen per serving and easy to order in bulk. A large bowl of rice to go along with it is also only 190 yen, meaning that you can have a fulfilling group dinner for around 1000 yen each, assuming you don't buy drinks. As a fairly standard pub, Goji-Goji offers a sizable drink menu, with everything from Russian tequila and Everclear-esque drinks to standard cocktails, beer, and sake. Drinks are affordable with most running you 390 yen, and with all-you-can-drink service available for only about 700 yen (or 1000 yen on weekends) lasting you for about as long as your meal will take. Ordering is quick and easy on a tablet and drinks are brought out quickly. The one aspect that foreigners may find strange is that smoking is allowed in the restaurant and is fairly commonplace, especially in the tatami-style rooms. That being said, the rooms are well-ventilated, so it will only bother you when you walk to refill your drink or use the bathroom. Overall, Goji-Goji is a fantastic restaurant experience for travelers and international students on a tight budget. It's located within a 10 minute walk of Minami-Kusatsu station, accessible by any of a number of buses from the nearby campus, and is in prime position so you can visit the arcade across the street afterwards. I highly recommend visiting Goji-Goji with your friends and sharing the food- you won't regret it.

Great for dinning with ur friend

I enjoyed the finest lamb meat. Psyfolk is the best. I ordered and enjoyed the assortment of each part. The fat was carefully grilled until crispy. The beer never stops. The lamb chops were also great. The onions and long bean sprouts were a perfect match with the lamb meat. I would definitely like to hear from you again.
