This was the most delicious and diverse meal we had in Japan during a 2 week trip. I don't even know what we ordered, but the dishes just kept coming. Everything so thoughtfully prepared! The staff was very kind to us, even though we were clueless tourists. Thank you for the memory!

Very zen experience here. Very few people in the restaurant, only Japanese. Quiet ambiance with a calming music. You can choose a table with chair or to sit with cushions on the floor. I took the vegetable lunch (2600 yen), it was exquisite and I was full in the end! Thank you very much! (I am French)

Izusen specializes in Buddhist vegetation cuisine known as shoujin ryori. These are delicious and delicate dishes served in fixed sets. A causal and affordable experience. Try the yuba set. Yuba is the outer skin of tofu. Everything has a mild taste. The dishes are artfully presented. Remember few Japanese restaurants are accustom to US styler special orders or substitutions so go with the flow. There are McDonalds in every neighborhood if you’re still hungry 🤤
