More Comments at Google MapWe were walking around the Gion district for about an hour and could not find something that we wanted to eat. We finally found this place on Google and decided to give it a try! No regrets!!! The proprietress and her staff were all so friendly! They tried their best to explain the menu to us but it was google translate to the rescue! You have to try their tamagoyaki and tempura! Out of this world! But EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious! And everything was plated so beautifully. You can tell they take great pride in what they do! We are so glad to have found this place. The sake recommended by the proprietress was very good too! :D It wasnt crowded on a Monday evening but that was great for us cos we love quiet but cozy vibe! We had conversations with 2 other customers who are both food business owners and friends with the proprietress. We might be trying out their places in the next few days! :D Thank you boss lady!! ❤️
Hidden gem! No English menu, we don't speak Japanese but the staff (and local customers) were super friendly and helpful. Food was very good too with lots of new interesting flavours (to me at least). Rice dumpling with duck, tamagoyaki, yudofu were some of my favourites.
I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. If you’re not local, look for the all black gentlemens club, and there are stairs to your left - go down those and the restaurant is there! The food was absolutely delicious. We had fried chicken, steamed dumplings, assorted pickles, sashimi, and lots of beer and sake. Everything was delicious. They are smaller portions (see photos), so you can try everything! While the staff didn’t speak much English, we were able to use Google translate and with the help of a very kind fellow customer, we became very fast friends. Before long we all were laughing and sharing sake. It was such a fun night! We ended up making this reservation because it was one of the few places that would take short notice, online reservations, but it ended up being a highlight of our trip to Osaka. You absolutely must go! We will definitely be going back for more delicious food and to see our new friends again!
