The Local is amazing. And absolut must visit if you visit Gion and want to have an exprecience besides the overcrowded tourist spots. The Food and the quality of it just gives you a perfect Evenig with a real traditional Japanese Experience without it beeing to expensive. Everything is fairly priced. The cook makes each dish right in front of you and prepares it super freshly. We had a great starter and 4-5 dishes to share with sake and beer and paid 5000 yen per Person and spend there 2 hours. We were the only tourist but still we could manage to order Everything in English and the House Keeper (which was wearing such a beautiful kimono) realy tried to explain everything to us and we even received a smal Gift and she made pictures for us. Overall we were so glad to spend our Evenig there abd it was till now our nicest Evenig in kyoto. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! There arw only 12 seats available. We were able to reserve with Google and everything went absolutetly smoothly.

Wonderful experience. With the help of some Siri and Google translate, lots of giggles both sides of the counter top. We all enjoyed an evening of exploration. Baby squid salad to start. Snapper squid and razor fish sushi. Then chicken. Finishing off with tempura shrimp, snapper and vegetables. Sent on our way full with a wave off.

Only popped in here randomly but lucky enough we got seated and enjoyed one of the best menus during our Japan trip. Didn‘t understand a single word on the menu and not always sure what was served (no English spoken), which made the evening only more special. Absolutely loved it!
