More Comments at Google MapAfter visiting the Kinkakuji Temple at 11:30, I came to this highly rated pork chop shop. There was no one in the store at this time, and it was very quiet. A family of four each ordered a set meal of pork chops. Rice, miso soup, and vegetables are all free. The fried pork chops are very crispy on the outside, and the meat is very tender. The ground sesame seeds are poured on the sauce, and it is delicious to eat. Recommended for those who want to eat pork chop rice!
This place is amazing, the best of its kind I've had. Staff is super friendly and helpful, English is limited but not a barrier what so ever. The food is top notch, fresh, crispy, and tasty it does not get better than that. Grinding the sesame seeds and adding the sauce its just and added fun experience!! Def a must! Prices are super fair if you are wondering ¥1000 - ¥2000
Probably one of the best Katsu Don I have in my life. The pork loin is fried to perfection with a very nice pink in the centre. It literally melt when you put into the mouth. My only comment is probably one piece is not enough! The location is just across the Kinkaku temple. I assume most of the crowd are tourists who had just visited the temple. The queue was relatively short when I was there. Highly recommended!
