Stumbled upon this place on the way to Nishiki market, made a reservation and came back later that night and it was so worth it! Food was incredible, service was amazing and it’s the funniest vibe in store. A lot of people having a lot of fun, perfect late night spot.

It was dark all of a sudden, and the alleys of Kyoto were dark and quiet when darkness fell. Suddenly, I heard a series of greetings from the izakaya on the street, "いらっしゃいませ!" and bursts of laughter from the diners in the store. At this time, I happened to be sitting in front of the store. The diners got up after finishing their meals. Mr. C and I stood across the street and looked at each other and smiled. If we don’t come to Zhabiru tonight, we can’t end the day! Shopkeeper or boss? He came out quickly to greet us (actually he looks a bit like the young Kimura Takuya [laughing R]). The ordering process is very friendly to us foreigners who speak poor Japanese. We can directly scan the QR code and place the order on the webpage, which also comes with pictures because we just had a full meal. So I ordered some dishes to go with my drink: ✔️Salmon with cream cheese (said to be seasonal only) ✔️Dry the fins overnight ✔️Fire-roasted dried fish ✔️Zhidou The result is that after drinking a bunch of beer, I was not satisfied and added another one! It was the first time I tasted the combination of salmon and cream cheese in a Japanese izakaya. Rolling up the salmon fillet, wrapping the cheese cubes in it and dipping it in soy sauce was really a novel taste bud experience.
