We took the more expensive course ( menu can be found in the pictures), The beef as expected, are impeccable. Service is great, the chief did his best to explain different meat parts and how to grill it. Added a last picture as a demonstration of the chiefs professionalism.
Hands down one of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had. Out of curiosity, my wife and I went inside as the restaurant is a bit “hidden” in an alley. We sat at the counter and we’re baffled by the service and food offered by the chef and his staff. The food quality was absolutely mind blowing and the staff offered a Michelin-star worthy service. We can’t wait to go there again and would absolutely recommend this to everyone coming to Kyoto!
We found this restaurant through a random article about Omi beef and stopped by right after arriving at our hotel. It was pretty empty on a rainy day and located in a pretty small alleyway — super welcome after a long trip of crowds and never-ending lines. They were so kind and thoughtful (even gave us trip suggestions), and the food was AMAZING for such a great price. We both ordered lunch-only beef bowls (regular ¥500, large ¥700). The bowls come with miso soup, kimchi and even hot tea at the end. We may return again during our two days in Kyoto. Highly recommend! Random, but I also loved their adorable and colorful bowls and cups.
