Generous portion of food for the amount paid. Definitely value for money but do come on time and early.

First visit. I entered the store around 11:30 and there were 3 customers ahead of me. I think there were about 5 tables for 4 people in the restaurant, but they were almost full soon after I entered. ``The daily special comes out early,'' so I ordered the daily special (grilled pork set meal 750 yen). It was grilled with slightly sweet ginger and was delicious. It was the No. 1 ginger roast for me 😋 The mother was modest and friendly, and it was a nice, old-fashioned diner. It was that kind of feeling.

Visited on 2/3/2023. Although it is an old-fashioned set meal restaurant, the customer base ranges from young people to middle-aged and elderly people. There are about 6 tables, and there are no counter seats, so it's best to share your seats. I feel like I know the customers, so I quickly take a seat at an empty seat. Although it was a weekday, the place was full at lunchtime. There is no parking lot and it's tucked away from the main road, so I was the only tourist there and most of the customers seemed to be regulars. I ordered the S lunch set meal of croquettes and hamburger steak, and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Both were handmade and the croquettes were freshly fried. If speed is important to you, the daily set meal is quick. Prices are reasonable, starting from the 600 yen range. Payment is by cash only, and there are no touristic elements, but you can see the real Kyoto.
