More Comments at Google MapCheap and delicious! Only 108 yen for most breads here and they have a lot of creative sandwiches and filled pastries that are, in my opinion, worth more. There's no English but you can go with what looks good if you don't have allergies. Any kind of anpan (アンパン) or red bean bun is delicious and you can't go wrong.
Bought 5 different kinds of bread and all of them were simply delicious! Can’t pick a favorite. I often see people lining up in front of the store and now I know why. Delicious and cheap. I recommend!
This was my favorite bakery when I was studying here. I would always stock up if I was in the area. There are lots of interesting breads and pastries to try and everything is very reasonably priced so you can try as many as you like and not feel it in your wallet (unlike some of the more prestigious bakeries around Shijo). I wholeheartedly recommend the sesame sweet potato bread, but you really can't go wrong with trying anything here.
