The croissants are amazing, the best in Kyoto in my opinion. Staff are super friendly. You’ll likely have to wait in line outside for awhile (but that’s par for the course for any decent bakery in Japan.)

Before I knew it, the bakery I used to frequent had turned into a croissant specialty store. The croissants cost about 400 yen to 600 yen each and came in a variety of flavors. When I went there around lunch time, there were only a few customers there. There are so many types that I was having trouble deciding which one to choose. This time I chose plain and chocolate. I didn't eat it warm, so it wasn't as crispy, but it had a strong buttery taste and was delicious. I would like to repeat it again.

I visited before noon and was able to purchase the croissant I was looking for! It was possible to eat in, so we ate inside. I rented a car because it was far from the station, but it was worth it! ! !
