Kyoto, Japan｜Canton Shunsai Ikki

One of my favorite Japanese-Chinese restaurants in Kyoto. Great value for the quality and care that goes into the food. They don’t take walk-ins so be sure to book ahead!

Lately, I have been fortunate enough to receive a lot of guidance from a senior colleague who loves food, and in Kyoto I was able to visit ``Kangdong Shunsai Issei'' near Yasaka Shrine (о´∀`о) There is also an Omakase course at Mochi no Ron, but today we asked for a la carte so that we could have what we wanted with the "four elite foodies" ♡ First of all, we poured in the lubricant called beer, and with Shaoxing wine in hand, we started with three types of appetizers.Click here for the original set of Wagamama Request (*´ω｀*) ~3 types of appetizers~ ・Shishamo pickled in Nanban ・Yuba with Japanese pepper sauce ・Steamed chicken with green onion sauce ・North Sea scallops with chilled green onion pepper sauce ・Juripuri Shrimp Wonton (fragrant green onion Hong Kong soy sauce) ・Shoronpo ・New Ginkgo Nan and Wakayama Aoriika Squid with Salty Flavor ・Wild shrimp chili sauce ・Ikkusbuta (cartilage chewy black vinegar style) ・Mabo tofu with spicy aroma ・Matsuyama pork fillet fillet ・Spring rolls with lots of root vegetables ・Cantonese fried rice ・Fragranced green onion soup soba ・Slightly bitter oolong tea ice cream All of them had a deep flavor and the spiciness was suppressed, and although it was not to my taste, it was a very satisfying dinner as the schedule continued to come in with good seasoning ♡ The owner and his wife were both very friendly and kind, and although I was aiming to conquer all the menus, I was greeted with such hospitable hospitality that they told me, ``There is also a secret menu, so please try it next time.'' It made me want to come back again and try the menu I hadn't tried yet. It was a deep shop♪( ´θ｀) As usual, we had plenty of alcohol, and the prices were reasonable. Of course, it's near Kawaramachi, just before Shiga Prefecture, but we found a wonderful shop that is good for Mikata ♫ I'm glad I have the ability to eat (lol) I'm also curious about lunch! Very yeeeeeeesssss(*´꒳`*) This restaurant suddenly appears in a residential area, but reservations are a must!

Every time I visited Kyoto, I tended to lean toward Kyoto cuisine, so I decided to try Kyoto Chinese food.I went there based on a recommendation from a local, and it was the most delicious Chinese food I've ever had. It was! ! This time, I ordered the 7,700 yen course, and I was impressed with all the dishes. The ingredients used are very carefully selected, and the chef's cooking and seasoning are superb. As other reviews have said, it doesn't feel greasy, and the gentle seasoning makes it seem like you could eat it endlessly (however, the course was enough to fill you up!!). You can order one item at a time, but all of the dishes are really delicious, so we recommend ordering them as a course and having a variety of them. I will definitely visit you when I visit Kyoto! !
