We had dinner here during our stay in Kyoto and we ordered the 8 courses seasonal tempura. Food was excellent: fresh fish and vegetables coated in a crispy and light layer of tempura. The chef was really welcoming and friendly and he made sure to explain us all the dishes, showing us picture too. We had the chance to talk to other Japanese guests who made our time even nicer. The tempura mushroom and the kisu fish simply delicious! Definitely recommended.

Amazing tempura restaurant. Only 8 seats at the bar. Various set menus. The chef serves each item immediately. Best tempura we had in Japan, and very reasonable price compared to other high-end tempura places. Reservation needed. Very highly recommended.

We had dinner here and did the seasonal tempura. It was an excellent experience. The owner was kind, friendly and interactive. He clearly cared deeply for his cooking and made sure that every piece was special. He made sure to explain every dish well. Everything was delicious! Would definitely come back.
